MS Spitsbergen - On Board Facilities
The ship features high standards and comfortable and modern public areas and cabins. The fresh, Scandinavian design reflects the colour palette from the sea. MS Spitsbergen is modern and environmentally friendly and we have made even more improvements in order to reduce emissions and fuel consumption. Tillberg Design of Sweden - the world's leading marine architecture and interior design company - is responsible for the incredible interior refurbishment.
Observation Lounge
The observation lounge on deck 6 provides incredible views. Here you will find large panoramic windows and comfortable sitting areas.
Bar Service
The can be found in the lounge on dech 5. Bartenders are on hand and ready to serve you your choice of drink before you settle down into one of the comfortable lounge chairs to view the majestic scenery.
Library
The ship has a small library with a selection of books and these are available to guests whilst on board free of charge. You may also borrow board games and puzzles.
Fitness Room, Jacuzzi and Sauna
On deck 7 you will find a well equipped fitness room and out on the deck itself are two outdoor whirlpools. We would certainly recommend taking a warm Jacuzzi whilst the Midnight Sun is shining, and icebergs are floating silently by the side of the ship, quite an experience!
Restaurant
In the restaurant and bistro on deck 5, you can enjoy the finest cuis ine with views of the amazing surroundings.
Information and Service
On deck 5, you will find the reception and expedition desk, where friendly staff are available to answer your questions. In this area, you will also find the bistro and the lounge.
Outdoor Decks
MS Spitsbergen has spacious outdoor areas. The outside decks offer access to the very front of the ship - a great place to observe marine wildlife.
